Join the Buddhist Chaplaincy for an open meditation at the Sakya Center. Mindfulness meditation is one of the techniques taught by the Buddha to bring ourselves fully into the moment. In meditation we still the body and focus the mind on an object, letting the mind become calm. Sitting on a meditation cushion and doing this practice is a good way to relieve the stress and anxiety we produce with our worrying mind. Meditation instruction will be provided. Beginners are encouraged and all are welcome.

The Sakya Center is between the Dunkin Donuts and the Cambridge Artist’s Co-op on Church street in Harvard Square.
