David Heckendorn grew up in Seattle, earned a Stanford MBA, and then left the Silicon Valley to smuggle Bibles behind the Iron Curtain. There he met his wife, Roselle, who also works with IV. They lived in Europe for ten years, returning to the USA with three children (John Henry, Marianna, Peter). He spent most of his career in industry, marketing medical devices and services. He enjoys playing and coaching soccer, and snow and water sports. They live in community with eight grad students from eight different countries. Their Fellowship of International Students at Harvard (FISH) group aims to create “a home away from home” for overseas students and researchers.
